In Figino Serenza (CO) an alleged raid by an anonymous group of environmentalists freed and dispersed about five thousand pheasants from a wildlife farm.
All this took place within the “Roncone” wildlife farm, located in the homonymous locality of Figino Serenza (CO), which supplies some hunting reserves in Brianza during the hunting season.
Considering the hunting purpose of the breeding, it is more than plausible the involvement in the story of some not better known group of animal rights activists who may have organized the flight of the birds in order to "save them" and give them freedom.
In fact, someone a few days ago, during the night, saw fit to enter the wildlife farm and cut the nets of the aviaries so that the animals could go out and disperse in the surrounding woods.
The next morning, once they realized what had happened, the owners of the wildlife farm requested the intervention of the Carabinieri of the Cantù station who are then right on the spot to carry out the inspection; already other times in the past similar events had occurred in the Roncone company.
Furthermore, we learn that unfortunately the alleged animal rights activists have only harmed these animals; in fact many of the pheasants escaped will have little chance of surviving, not because hunters prey but because during their stay in the cage they had worn a harness to prevent them from being injured, but which at the same time prevents them from being able to feed.
