Hunting Accident: A 75-year-old man, Isoliero Giuliani, died this morning in the woods of San Martino sul Fiora (Manciano), killed by a gunshot accidentally fired by a hunter. Giuliani was in the area because he was a hunting guard.
From what is learned from investigative sources, the man was 70 meters from the stop in the woods together with another guard. The lead ball, which hit him in the chest, was deflected perhaps by a bone of the prey hit further downstream or by a rock.
Immediate intervention by the 118 ambulance and the Pegaso helicopter rescue: the doctors tried to revive the man but for the hunting guard there was nothing to do. The shotgun shot was fired by a hunter who killed the boar before the ball bounced and hit Isoliero straight in the chest. There was nothing to be done, the man died instantly. The body of the hunting guard was taken to the morgue of the Orbetello hospital, at the disposal of the judiciary. The carabinieri also intervened in San Martino sul Fiora and reconstructed the dynamics of the accident. An accident, in fact. Isoliero did not have the rifle, which was attached to the nail last year. But that passion had not left him and he had been appointed supervisory coordinator of the Atc 8 by Enalcaccia.
For fifty years, Isoliero Giuliani had run his tire repair business in the town of Tufo before retiring. Then, once the shutters of his business closed, he began to get busy for others: to animate the activities of the elderly center in Pitigliano and to cultivate the vegetable garden. The whole town of Tufo, once the news was heard, gathered around their son Davis and his wife Marisa. The 75-year-old man died in the woods of San Martino sul Fiora.
