Hunting accident: La Spezia, a hunter from La Spezia was injured by a large boar during a hunting trip in Fosdinovo; the hoofed one charged him and threw him into the air, injuring him in the leg.
In recent days, a 45-year-old hunter from La Spezia was attacked by a large wild boar who charged him making him literally lift him off the ground while he was hunting alone with his three dogs in the woods of Fosdinovo on the border between Liguria and Tuscany. At a certain point one of his three dogs began to bark and the hunter took up his rifle to prepare for shooting but at the moment of firing the weapon jammed and the large ungulate, weighing over a ton, attacked the hunter literally throwing him into the air.
Following the attack, the hunter suffered injuries to his leg with severe blood loss, therefore the man asked for help with his mobile phone from a friend of his who gave him first aid and then accompanied him with his car to the emergency room of the Sarzana hospital for the treatment of the case; for the injuries sustained, the hunter was judged to be curable in seven days.
