HUNTING VILLAGE | Due to the COVID -19 health emergency, as now many other major events in all sectors too Hunting Village it is postponed to next year. The most important event in the Italian hunting world, which involves over 300 exhibitors mostly from the regions of Northern Italy (the most affected by the coronavirus), will take place from 14 to 16 May 2021 always at Umbria Fiere in Basta Umbria (Perugia).
"It is a painful decision, dictated by the sense of responsibility and the need to protect the health of all participants - explains the organizer in a letter to the exhibitors. Andrew Castellani, director of AC Company. A choice gained and shared with the exhibitors and trade associations, with whom the organization has had a direct dialogue and continuous confrontation in these last hard weeks: "We organize fairs to connect supply and demand, both parties must be there and in total safety - continues Castellani - Going on today would be like gambling and this does not correspond to the DNA of an entrepreneur. It is true that a company takes risks, but after analyzing all aspects and creating the best possible conditions to support its project. There is a big difference between betting and investing ”. Castellani expressed his great closeness and that of all his collaborators to the many exhibitors who live and work in the regions most affected by the health emergency: "Our thoughts go out to all of them and, in particular, to the large Brescia community that is part of the family of Hunting Village. We wish to embrace you all ”.
"A painful but responsible decision, which is added to those already taken for the postponement of trade fair events in every sector - said the Regional Councilor for Agricultural and Agri-food Policies Roberto Morroni - in consideration of the persistence of the health emergency and of the decrees in force. This serious phase, which we are undergoing and which has a negative impact on our economic and social environment, I am sure will be directly proportional to the great strength that we will be able to demonstrate to relaunch Umbria in all its expressions. It's just a matter of time! The 2021 edition of Hunting Village it will certainly be even more important and extraordinary ”.
"This terrible virus has devastated all human, social and economic stability at an international and national level - says Paola Lungarotti, mayor of Bastia Umbra- When this very difficult moment has passed, it will evaluate all the situations that the pandemic has generated in our city. The exhibition center is an integral part of Bastia Umbra, all the related trade fairs and events that take place at Umbriafiere are present and have an impact on the economy of our territory but today, due to a pandemic, it suffers as all other activities suffer. We will also have the same attention towards the Fair Authority that we are reserving to all the economic operators who are suffering in this exceptional and dramatic moment ”.
He echoes her Lazzaro Bogliari, President of Umbriafiere: “The difficult and painful choice of the organizers of Hunting Village it must give us further courage to invest in the programs and structures of the exhibition center, with the hope that we will be offered the opportunity to sustain the difficulties of this forced interruption of the activity ”.
AC Company is already at work for the 2021 edition, which will be the tenth of a well-established event and a reference point for the sector also from an economic point of view: "We intend to immediately invest commitment and resources also to help support and strengthen the economy of the entire sector. We are already fielding new ideas and projects which, far from being alternative to the Caccia Village, will offer innovative tools and services, useful for exploring and opening further stable paths for meeting and promotion".
