Course on the management of alpine galliformes intended for hunters of alpine galliformes, gamekeepers and wildlife technicians.
The Latemar Forestry School, Center for Forestry, Hunting and Environmental Training of Nova Levante (BZ), organizes from Monday 16 May (15:00) to Friday, 20 May, 4 days of masters on the management of alpine galliformes for hunters of alpine galliformes, game wardens and wildlife technicians.
The course provides for the qualification to the figure of expert hunter of alpine galliformes and specialized operator in the management of the same.
The topics covered in the course will be systematics, biology, ecology, population dynamics of grouse and rock partridge, management and conservation of populations of alpine galliformes, dog lovers, hints of cartography.
The lessons will be divided between theoretical and practical. Theoretical: presence indices, age determination, reproduction, reproductive physiology, habitat, diet, behavior, sex ratio, reproductive parameters, demographic parameters, causes of mortality, hints of kinegetic ecology, management principles, census methods of alpine galliformes, evaluation of kinegetic indices for management purposes, environmental improvements for faunal purposes, Community Directives, morphology of the working dog, feeding of the working dog, management and training of the pointing dog, outline of cartography.
Practices: depending on availability and operational possibilities, operations will be organized in simulation of a spring census for singing.
Cost of the course (including participation fee, board, lodging and teaching material) € 442,00 advance € 180,00.
At the end of the course a certificate of participation will be issued to each participant. Furthermore, a verification of the results achieved is foreseen by means of a final verification test.
