In Succiso di Ramiseto, in the province of Reggio Emilia, the Provincial Police recently stopped a poacher who was hunting with electronic recall equipment.
In recent days a provincial police patrol, during a prevention and control service on hunting activities in the Apennines, surprised some hunters from La Spezia intent on hunting migratory fauna with the temporary posting method in the Succiso di Ramiseto area.
The agents were also able to ascertain that one of the hunters was in possession of an electromagnetic call capable of perfectly simulating the singing of various species of migratory birds, equipment prohibited by national legislation and whose possession is punished with a criminal sanction. The hunter was then reported to the judicial authority and was seen seized, in addition to the illegal electromagnetic equipment, also rifle and ammunition.
The provincial councilor Alfredo Gennari, in congratulating the agents "for the effective surveillance activity ensured in a period in which the protection of migratory fauna is particularly necessary", underlines how "the provincial police maintain a high level of surveillance on everything the provincial territory ":" It is equally important - he adds - to respect the rules: electronic calls cannot be used and whoever does it is not a true and loyal hunter and breaks the laws ".
