The so-called "Wild boar" represent about 75% of the total hunters of the province of Viterbo: as reported by Viterbo Post, it is a very important force, determined to build a virtuous path and to discuss the guidelines of the new regulation concerning the hunting of ungulates. Their main goal is that decisions are within the reach of their expectations.
In the last few hours, the Province of Lazio hosted a fundamental meeting with the team leaders of Tuscia to address one of the current problems, namely the transfer of competences from provinces to regions as far as hunting is concerned. As it was pointed out on the occasion, the wild boar hunting regulations in the Viterbo area managed to reach important goals. For example, they should be remembered the starting times of the hunting expeditions, the clear attribution of hunting areas, the possibility offered jointly to three teams to hunt and more.
The regional councilors recognized the importance of hunting as a resource for managing and protecting the heritage. In addition, wild boar hunting was judged "A fundamental value". In the coming weeks there will be a comparison with the teams of the other Lazio provinces (Rome, Frosinone, Rieti and Latina), in order to coordinate regional needs. Furthermore, in about ten days, the Regional Department will meet the team leaders and the long-awaited dialogue will finally start.
