EXA at HuntEx 2013: the potential of the South African market, increasingly interested in Made in Italy, is confirmed.
The largest exhibition of the arms sector in South Africa ended on April 21, with the presence of 230 exhibitors and 35000 visitors in four days. Success that confirms the potential of an interesting market for made in Italy. Last December, Brixia Expo and the Brescia Chamber of Commerce signed a memorandum of understanding with HuntEx, with the aim of opening the channels to develop commercial relations between the Italian and South African arms districts, in relation to sporting and hunting weapons.
With this in mind, a South African delegation made up of 13 people, including "buyers" and specialized journalists, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Italian-South African Chamber of Commerce in Johannesburg, Dr. Mariagrazia Biancospino, was a guest in our province in February to meet companies in the Italian arms sector. "With this agreement - underlined Marco Citterio, CEO of Brixia Expo Fiera di Brescia - EXA's internationalization project continues, the aim of which is to develop the network to make the Italian district of sporting and hunting weapons known and create a dealer network for arms products in South Africa. "
As a second step of the protocol, EXA was present with a promotional space at HuntEx 2013, which took place in Johannesburg, precisely with the aim of making the Italian district of sporting and hunting weapons known and promoting the made in Italy product. . "The South African market offers very interesting prospects - commented Francesco Bettoni, President of the Brescia Chamber of Commerce, returning from HuntEx - There is a need for a strong and organized Italian presence on the South African market, and in this perspective Brescia can play an absolute leadership role and take a significant share of the sporting and outdoor gun market. "
Three Italian companies present at HuntEx 2013 with their own exhibition stand, as precursors of the collective that will be organized in Johannesburg for the next edition: ARMISPORT CHIAPPA, FAPFLLI PIETTA SRL and RIZZINI. The Brescia companies confirmed the South African potential, underlining that it is a market traditionally linked to hunting and strongly interested in other forms of hunting than those commonly practiced, as well as inclined to shooting and target shooting activities.
In 2014 the agreement between the two events will materialize with the presence of an exhibition area at HuntEx entirely dedicated to Made in Italy, which will include most of the arms manufacturers in our Province.
