From the far west of exceptions to clearer rules. The ministries of Agriculture and the Environment have in fact given the green light to the draft regulation on the guidelines which the Regions will have to comply with in exercising the exceptions provided for by the Community Birds Directive.
14 September 2011 - This was announced by Gianluca Bardelli, member of the National Wildlife Hunting Technical Committee (Ctfvn) of the Ministry of Agricultural Policies. "After more than a year - says Bardelli to ANSA - paragraph 4 bis of article 19 / bis of the hunting law introduced by community legislation is about to be implemented, which provides a useful tool for the Regions to check in advance the compliance with national and community system of authorization measures for hunting in derogation ".
The measure, the Ctfvn member underlines, "will clarify a field that, for too long, has generated confusion and inhomogeneity, and above all will allow the concrete application of the control power assigned to the government according to which the Prime Minister can cancel the measures derogation put in place by the regions in breach of the law ".
To speed up the process of issuing the decree, "also shared by Ispra", Bardelli announces that he will propose to the Minister of Agriculture Saverio Romano to "convene the Committee as soon as possible". “I trust that in that meeting the representatives of the Regions, of the hunting associations, of the environmentalists and of the farmers - he affirms - will be able to find in the maximum consultation the right measure to quickly reach the adoption of a juridical instrument foreseen by the law.
A norm also wanted by the European Union that will transform the exceptional regime of derogations from the current far west towards a context of clear and certain rules all to the advantage of the Regions and the hunters themselves ”.
