Hunters and the Environment: Lecce, all Salento hunters united for the “Ambiente Bene Comune” project, on the occasion of the next “World Earth Day”, to clean up the woods from waste.
Salento hunters run to help the environment, heal critical issues, "adopt" and protect "great beauty". And they propose the second edition of the “Environment Good Common” project on the occasion of the next “World Earth Day” (ecological awareness days to clean up waste woods and degraded environments in the Province of Lecce). "With this project - observes Daniele Danieli, president of the Territorial Hunting Area of the Province of Lecce - the ATC intends to create a balance between man and nature based on respect for the territory and the environment, an action aimed at improving and preserving our Common Good. It will be an opportunity to demonstrate that keeping nature alive and active is a duty of each of us, in the certainty that all this can contribute to making the environment more liveable and at the same time creating situations of ever greater sensitivity, responsibility and collaboration between the various social subjects and territorial institutions ".
Echoes Antonio Negro, vice president of Federcaccia: "Who better than us hunters knows the territory and its criticalities?". The success of the 2013 edition is a good premise so that even this in progress (April 22, the day in which the "World Earth Day" will be celebrated throughout the northern hemisphere) involves associations, clubs, schools and citizens of all ages and social conditions, in a militant and responsible sense, actively in raising awareness, defending and re-appropriating their territory, especially the interfaces that present situations of degradation caused by a civic conscience always to be built, both individual and collective, in a micro, meso, farm size.
Last year the "Bosco Comune" operation involved some centers in the Leccese area: Sogliano Cavour (association "Kronos" and Municipality), Municipality of Salve (Circolo Enalcaccia and Municipality), San Cataldo (Municipality of Lecce), Municipality of Cutrofiano, Municipality of Matino (“Club Anlc / Salentini Hunters” and Municipality), Municipality of Supersano, Municipality of Muro Leccese (Civil Protection and Municipality of Salve), Municipality of Lequile (“Ranger for the Environment” and Municipality).
The idea was presented during the area meeting that took place a few days ago in Aradeo. The invitation of the ATC (which is based in Ruffano, Viale dei Pini n.5) is addressed to all sorts of associations, both hunting and environmentalist, to schools, municipalities, ordinary citizens who have at heart the protection of the beauty of their territories and intend to defend them from the invasiveness of a few barbarians. The available budget is € 6 thousand and it will not be possible to carry out more than one intervention for each single municipality.
The ATC will provide the material necessary for the reclamation: advertising posters, gloves, bags, hats, brooms, etc. The waste will be disposed of with the differentiated system. A one-off voucher of € 250 will be given to each association participating in the project and which it can use at its discretion (photographic documentation, transport, fuel, etc.). In the final provincial event an exhibition will be proposed that will illustrate the initiatives carried out. Important detail: the announcement is directed exclusively to the Salento associations.
Registrations must take place from 1st to 10th April.
