For some time now there has been talk of the invasion of wild animals such as wild boars in urban areas of cities that have repeatedly caused and cause damage and road accidents.
This time, however, perhaps we went a little further and so in the late evening of yesterday, November 22, 2011, an elderly 73-year-old woman saw herself attacked by a herd of wild boars while walking with her dogs in the populous San Teodoro district in Genoa.
The woman was in via Bologna, near a garden, to walk with her three dogs shortly after 22 pm yesterday, but suddenly a herd of wild boars, which had crossed over from the nearby suburbs, rushed at him.
In the circumstance, the woman's three dogs had the worst; in fact one of the dogs was killed by the onslaught of the gods boars mind the other two, although wounded, managed to escape.
The woman managed to escape by escaping from the fury of the animals and was rescued by some motorists passing by who made her get on board their car and alerted a police car in transit in the area. An ambulance was requested for the woman who, after first aid, transported her to a nearby Emergency Department of the Galliera Hospital.
The wild boars then fled to the nearby via Bari and then lost their tracks; the inhabitants of the area who poured into the street after learning what had happened pointed out to the intervening agents that the phenomenon has been repeated for some time now and seems to be growing rapidly; considering the incident, the steering wheel of the State Police alerted the competent command of the State Forestry Corps.
