Hunting in Piedmont: The Region allocates 1,3 million euros to ATC, CA and the Provinces for damage to wildlife
The Piedmont Region has liquidated all contributions for the compensation of damages caused by wildlife, arranging the payment of the total sum of 1.3 million euros in favor of Atc (Territorial hunting areas), Ca (Alpine areas) and Provinces, which will thus be able to '' provide for the settlement of damages to farmers.
The sum includes documented damage to crops caused by all wildlife species, including ungulates and wild boar, up to 2009.
The total amount of 1.330 million euros refers largely to damages (1,161 million) and to a lesser extent to wildlife-hunting interventions carried out by the Provinces, including surveillance activities, equipment for voluntary hunting guards. , oasis management, wild animal carcass recovery centers.
Apart from a few single cases still to be defined, in this way the Region has made available to the local authorities all the resources necessary to settle the damages and to close the previous situations.
