Vandalism and insults were the arguments of a group of "animal rights" against a group of hunters in the Parmesan area.
The long battle between hunters and animal rights activists up to now has always been held on the level of the divergence of civil opinions, albeit with rather heated tones and violent episodes have rarely occurred between the two "factions".
This time, however, an animal rights group has decided to go from words to deeds, and so after a rather aggressive approach towards a group of five hunters, in particular towards one of them aged about seventy years, it has seen fit to damage the cars with which the hunters had arrived in the area.
It all happened in recent days in the province of Parma in the Barbiano di Felino area, one of the hunters tells what happened: “Five of us were hunting in the late morning we heard the sound of some whistles. Then we realized that one of us, a man of about seventy, had been surrounded by a group of about ten people: among them there were two men and the rest were women ”.
"For half an hour our friend was insulted. - continues the hunter - They have defined him as a Nazi, a fascist, a murderer and a demented person. We got closer but the spirits have certainly not calmed down: "We hope you kill each other", we were told ".
Then one of the guys from the animal rights group decided to confront the hunters, “One of those guys came up to us and explained the reasons for the group. He was talking to us for a quarter of an hour. At the end, after exchanging our views, we also shook hands".
But probably the exchange of ideas on a civilian level was not enough for the rest of the group, "But while we were talking to each other, the other guys in the group moved away, went back to the area where we had parked cars and, when we arrived, too at that point, we discovered the word "Criminal" made with keys or a screwdriver on the side left of one of our cars ”.
Other acts of vandalism, from scratches of the bodywork on the broken glass, were committed against another group of hunters on a wild boar hunt who had parked their cars nearby.
In conclusion, the hunters comment, "These animal rights activists are the real criminals. If an opinion different from ours is expressed civilly, we have nothing against those who manifest it. Everything must be kept within the limits and not lead to vandalism like the one we have suffered. We are in order, we pay the license and for this we can hunt ”.
The hunters, victims of the incident, reported the facts to the Carabinieri of Langhirano who are carrying out the appropriate investigations of the case; the research focuses mainly on people already identified by the authorities as involved in riots linked to demonstrations organized by animal rights activists.
