Hunting: Rovigo, according to the provincial councilor Bellan, "more checks by the Provincial Police on hunting activities in Polesine are necessary".
The provincial police checks on hunting in Polesine were successful but the provincial councilor Caludio Bellan and his managers, satisfied with the results, would like some more agents to better patrol the territory, especially the Po Delta. 2012 saw the provincial police draw up 66 reports of ascertainment of violation in hunting matters, with the seizure of 24 head of shot game, 146 molds of anatidae and 152 cartridges. These are in summary the numbers of the work carried out in the field of controls in the past hunting season, and to present them, on Friday 15 February in the Province of Rovigo, the councilor Claudio Bellan together with the head of the area Vanni Bellonzi and the head of the provincial police Monica Attolini.
During the checks carried out by the agents in the Delta lagoons, 13 artifacts used as fixed posting for hunting consisting of constructions of wooden structures and marsh reeds were identified and placed under criminal seizure. 9 people were reported to the judicial authorities, and the criminal seizures - validated by the judicial authorities - of: 8 hunting weapons were carried out; 2 acoustic signals with electromagnetic operation and relative sound diffuser; 27 head of game shot.
The type of infringements detected were: use of acoustic signals with electromagnetic operation, with sound amplification; illegal occupation of space in the maritime state property; hunting inside the Po Delta Regional Park; refusal to provide general information The offenses occurred in the municipalities of: Porto Tolle, Porto Viro and Ariano Polesine. The direct coordination of voluntary supervision by the Provincial Police, in support of the control activities on hunting activities, recorded the drafting of further n. 23 assessment reports, of which 18 by the Italian Federation of Hunting and 5 by Enalcaccia, as well as 15 administrative reports by the State Forestry Corps.
The provincial police currently has 14 agents, organized into six operational patrols, of which 4 are located in the central and lower Polesine area and 2 in the upper Polesine area. The service of the agents is divided into pre-established shifts, which provide for a daily coverage of 12 hours with patrols in the morning shift: from 7.00 to 13.00 and in the afternoon: from 13.00 to 19.00, for all days of the week.
