An unprecedented initiative. The Municipality of Petrella Tifernina (province of Campobasso) has decided to create a trophy with an evocative name, "Less Wild Boars". This is a particular event with a cash prize to be allocated to the team of hunters that at the end of the hunting season will have demonstrated the greatest number of killing of ungulates.
The area in which to make the withdrawals will be that included between various municipalities of Molise, that is to say Petrella, Castellino del Biferno, Matrice, Montagano and Lucito. The proposal was made by Alessandro Amoroso, mayor of the Campobassana locality and number two of the Province.
The regulation includes the possibility for the municipal council to “Identify the hunting season at the end of which to determine the prize money for the team of hunters who have killed the greatest number of wild boars, in compliance with current regulations ".
