Wildlife damage, discounts on the purchase of technical means at the Adriatic Agricultural Consortium but also new procedures implemented by the Coldiretti Molise for the release of subsidized agricultural fuel starting next year: this and more was discussed on Monday evening, at the multipurpose center of Trivento (Campobasso), where Coldiretti has called an assembly which was attended by its agricultural and livestock entrepreneurs in the area. The mayor of Trivento, Pasquale Corallo, and the deputy mayor Sandra Stinziani were also present at the meeting. To hold the bench during the meeting was first of all the problems relating touncontrolled increase of wild boars.
These ungulates, as now in the public domain, are causing enormous damage to agricultural businesses, often literally brought to their knees by the damage they cause to crops, even destroying entire crops; not to mention the social danger they now represent. Road accidents caused by them are now on the agenda as well as attacks, especially against farmers in carrying out their work. For his part, the mayor Corallo also confirmed the extent of the problem, supporting and praising the commitment of Coldiretti, highlighting that the municipal administration in this case cannot do much unlike the agricultural organization.
"In the last recent meeting with the President of the Region, Donato Toma - explained the Confederal Delegate of Coldiretti Molise, Giuseppe Spinelli - the Governor has shown great sensitivity for this problem, so much so that he is ready to find, in a short time, a regulatory solution that will allow farmers, with a regular hunting license, to be able to kill the wild boars present in their bottom throughout the year ". Another topic of great interest for all the members concerned the agreement signed by Coldiretti with Agricultural Consortium of the Adriatic, which provides for the application of strong discounts on the purchase of technical means and production factors necessary for running the farm. An agreement launched this year on an experimental basis but that it can be extended and improved in the years to come.
In addition to this, during the evening, space was also given to the discussion on the issues related to the 2020 Budget and the reflections on agricultural taxation. Particular appreciation was given by the possibility of receiving the vouchers for the collection of subsidized agricultural fuel directly at the Coldiretti offices. This procedure, unique in Molise, “It is a real achievement - affirms the regional director of Coldiretti Molise, Aniello Ascolese - in the direction of breaking down the bureaucracy, recognizing greater autonomy to the figure of the agricultural entrepreneur. For Coldiretti this is the assumption of a strong responsibility, from which the Organization did not want to escape in the interest of the represented category ”.
