Un hunting pond in province of Rimini, maintained throughout the year thanks to the work and economic resources of the hunters, has hosted two broods of coots that have been successful with birth of the pullets. As can be seen in the photographs, both the hatching period and that of parental care have been documented, the young coot find food and shelter in the area which is kept flooded even in the summer.
Another demonstration of the contribution to biodiversity made by hunters, with its own funds and without any public contribution. Thanks to those who sent us this documentation, we invite all hunters who manage these environments to send us other testimonies with photographs of interesting nests or sightings.
