The hunting season 2018-2019 throughout the national territory. A situation that does not bode well is that of province of Reggio Emilia. In several areas of our country it is being registered a decline in hunters and Reggiano is no exception. As announced by Roberto Pagani, number one of"Mountain" Territorial Hunting Area, we need to reverse the trend as soon as possible otherwise we risk a few thousand shotguns all over Italy in ten or fifteen years.
But what is the Reggio Emilia trend? The same ATC has made known a 23% decrease in members in the period between 2010 and 2015. This means that every year there has been a decline of about 5%. Eight years ago the Reggio hunters were just under 4600, while three years ago they became about 3500. Furthermore, the decline does not seem to want to stop anytime soon. A constant trend in the trend would lead to zeroing the number by 2025.
Moreover in the 205-2016 hunting season only 4% of the members could be considered young, i.e. between the ages of 18 and 30. The new generations are not giving the right change and the cost factor must also be taken into consideration. Pagani even hypothesized the change of the name, no longer "hunter" but "Ecological hunting operator" to better deal with detractors.
