The second edition of HIT SHOWS, Event dedicated to the world of hunting, the sports shooting and personal defence, organized by Vicenza Fair in partnership with ANPAM file (National Association of Sports and Civil Weapons and Ammunition Manufacturers) and in collaboration with ASSOARMIERI and CONARMI. The conference inaugurated the three days of events "Italians and weapons. Culture, tradition, law and information", which represented a moment of confrontation on the sporting, hunting and recreational use of weapons in Italy, with historical, sociological and legal insights.
The relationship of Paolo de Nardis (full professor of General Sociology at Sapienza University of Rome), presented by Roberta Iannone (professor of sociology at Sapienza) outlined a picture on the relationship of Italians with weapons between the past and current events, highlighting, among other aspects, how various studies show that there is no direct correlation between legal possession of firearms and domestic violent events.
Francesco Volpe (full professor of Administrative Law at the University of Padua) focused on the problems relating to the granting and renewal of the firearms license. The Senator Nico D'Ascola (Professor of Criminal Law at the “Mediterranea” University of Reggio Calabria) and the Senator Luciano rossi presented the proposals to amend the legislation for the granting of firearms and the possession of common firearms and for sporting use, contained in the Ddl 2216, aimed at ensuring a greater balance between safety and liberality.
Finally, the intervention of Claudio Lo Curto (Advocate General, Public Prosecutor's Office of Sassari), presented by Ranieri De Maria, was focused on the notion of war weapon and ammunition in the recent jurisprudence of legitimacy.

At the end of the conference, the awards ceremony took place Degree Awards, established by Vicenza Fair and ANPAM and assigned for degree theses dedicated to the arms sector for civil and sporting use. They won the award Valentina Ghiroldi, Mattia Bianchelli e Nicolò Fabbriziani.
Afterwards, the inaugural visit in the pavilions of Fiera di Vicenza, in the presence of the President Matteo Marzotto, Stefano Fiocchi and some Olympic athletes in skeet shooting, target shooting and dynamic sports shooting champions, such as: Jessica Rossi, Olympic Shooting Champion, Robert Vezzoli, Shotgun World Champion, Ignazio Maria Tronca e Valerio Luchini, European Clay Shooting Champions, Giovanni Pelielo e Francesco D'Aniello, Skeet Shooting World Champions, Andrea Miotto, Luca Miotto and Davide Gasparini, Skeet Shooting Champions.
Ad HIT SHOWS participate 363 exhibitors, up by 15,6% compared to 314 in 2015. There are i top international brands and the excellences of production Made in Italy: hosted in the three large thematic areas into which the Fair is divided, on an area of 35 thousand square meters: Hunting, Individual Protection e Target Sports.
The event proposes insights on news concerning weapons, ammunition, equipment and accessories, with a large space dedicated to sports shooting. Particular attention will be paid also and above all to the aspects of training, to teach the most appropriate techniques of safety in the exercise of sporting activities and personal defense.
