Barbara Mazzali, regional councilor of the Lombardia (Brothers of Italy), commented on the latest changes to the regional law on hunting: "On the subject of hunting, my agenda for PDL 118 was approved today in the Regional Council. To this are added the amendments that had already been accepted in Commission and which are contained in the PDL.
Among the amendments approved in the Commission: one is aimed at simplifying the procedure of modification of restocking and capture areas who, making use of the Municipalities, guarantees adequate information through formal filing and posting on the praetorian notice board; one asks that the Region and the Province of Sondrio hold a special for the relative territory computer register of issued badges, which is updated annually and which would replace paper files; one simplifies the return of badges, avoiding travel to hunters who can thus contact their hunting association or ATC / CA to return the card at the end of the hunting season; one gives the possibility to increase the game bag if there are objective possibilities of withdrawal as in the case of the withdrawal in derogation of the pigeon species which it is hoped will be implemented by hunting season 2020.
I am comforted that work is being done to offer Lombard hunters the best possible opportunities. The agenda that I presented, in agreement with Councilor Rolfi, and which was approved this morning in the Chamber is an opening towards hunters. To date, ATC hunters are allowed to temporarily host other hunters both from Lombardy and from outside the region. But this opportunity is left to the total decision of the ATC which do not apply it in a homogeneous way. Therefore, with my agenda, I invite the Executive to evaluate the introduction of the hospitality criterion by a member of the Lombardy Region ATC / CAC, up to a maximum of 10 days as well as the percentage of registered hunters who can use them for each hunting season ".
