Poaching: Parma, two poachers were surprised by the Provincial Police while they were hunting ungulates at night with lighthouses and rifles.
The Provincial Police stopped two people who practiced poaching in the hills of Neviano Arduini. The operation, which took place in recent days, followed numerous reports of nocturnal poaching activities of large wildlife, such as roe deer and fallow deer. For this reason, some services have been set up in coordination with the ATC PR4 Voluntary Hunting Guards. During one of the anti-poaching services, the provincial police intercepted two people who, at night and on board a car, had illuminated the lawns in front of the vehicle with a powerful headlight, during a day of absolute hunting ban. Once stopped, the two subjects were found in possession of a banned caliber rifle for hunting and equipped with precision optics. The control continues and it is ascertained that one of the two has a license for a rifle, but it has expired for many years.
The Provincial Police therefore immediately seized both the weapon, with relative ammunition, and the swinging lighthouse, denouncing the two characters in competition for having exercised hunting activities at night, on a day of hunting silence, with the use of prohibited weapons and for the most serious crime of illegal carrying of weapons. The completed operation is part of the services aimed at the prevention and repression of faunal / environmental offenses set up throughout the provincial territory.
