Poaching. In recent days, the men of the Provincial Police of Todi, during the control of the territory for hunting surveillance and the contrast to the practice of poaching, have surprised a man intent on hunting finches, birds known to belong to protected species.
The man, originally from Marsciano, used for the hunting a fonofil electronic acoustic call, already prohibited by law, and at the time of the check it had already killed 25 specimens of finch.
The subject was denounced on the loose to answer for the crime of poaching; subsequently the Provincial Police, with the help of the Carabinieri of the local station, carried out a search at the poacher's home where weapons and bullet ammunition were found that had not been duly reported.
Once the investigations were completed, the agents seized all the weapons and ammunition found in the possession of the poacher as well as the electronic equipment and the already killed items.
