HUNTING IN LIGURIA: Regionals, Biasotti is open to hunting and to the requested Ligurian hunting associations
There was a lot of anticipation among the thousands of hunting enthusiasts for the meeting scheduled today between Sandro Biasotti, candidate for president of the Liguria Region, and the managers of the major hunting associations in Liguria. The meeting took place at 11 am at the headquarters of the Biasotti electoral point, in viale Brigate Partigiane, in Genoa. Present were Matteo Anfossi, regional secretary of Federcaccia, Paolo Botta, of Arcicaccia, Province of Genoa, Luciano Pansolin, secretary of Federcaccia Liguria, Sergio Corradi of Enalcaccia, and Bruno Venuti, president of the Liberacaccia association.
During the meeting, the leaders of the associations asked for greater attention to the hunting world: «I fully accept the request for a real consultation between the Region and the hunting associations. In my government program there is a precise reference to the need for continuous and not sporadic meetings to discuss issues related to hunting and the territory ».
Then we went into the specifics of the requests presented by the managers of the various Ligurian hunting realities. Biasotti, among other things, fully accepted the commitment requested for the correct application of article 9 of the European directive on the withdrawal of wild birds by derogation, the reintroduction of half an hour after sunset for the exercise of game hunting. migration from stalking, the extension of wildlife control to "opportunistic" species, the recovery of the rule on the "protected landscape", the payment by hunters of the damage caused by huntable wildlife, the recourse also to voluntary vigilance for the actions of wildlife control, regional enhancement of voluntary associations.
