New updates from the ringing station of thePonza Island: "We celebrated the arrival of spring this week with many new species, pushed to our island by good weather and sunny days. We have had many new arrivals, therefore, including some species that we would have expected later in the season, such as the Green Luì (Phylloscopus sibilatrix)!
Among the new species the first can be listed: Black Bail (Ficedula hypoleuca), Nightingale (Luscinia megarhynchos), Big Luì (Phylloscopus trochilus) and Little Mouse (Riparia riparia). If you who read us are also interested in taking part in our field work and have some free time during the week by 9 16 to April or in the week from 21 to 28 May, sign up as a volunteer by writing an email to: [email protected]"(Source: CISCA ONLUS).
