Savona: the cars of some hunters engaged in a hunt for hunting al wild boar between Stella and Varazze were damaged by vandals; among the hypotheses the huntsmen and some landowners who do not want the presence of hunters.
Vandal raid, perhaps with an anti-hunting purpose, yesterday on the heights between Stella and Varazze. Yesterday morning in the early hours of the day, the tires of three Mitsubishi L 200 pick-up trucks were ripped apart by the blades of strangers. This is a significant economic damage, considering that a single tire used in those vehicles costs on average around 150 euros. Since dawn yesterday, the hunting team at the boar del Pero di Varazze, coordinated by Graziano Monti, with their dogs, was in the woods between the localities of Briolo, Castelletti and Scavi Romani, still in the territory of Stella to lap the Varazzino one. The three Mitsubishis were parked on the side of the provincial road that leads from Alpicella to the Stellese hamlet of San Martino. The vehicles did not cause any traffic problems. The dog cages installed on the platforms behind the driver's cab of the three vehicles clearly showed that they were hunters' cars.
Other cars parked a few hundred meters away have not suffered any damage. To cut the tires, but this is only a hypothesis, it could be some people opposed to hunting but also some landowners tired of the passage of the hunting teams. Subsequently, the carabinieri were called and carried out the surveys of the case, receiving complaints from the owners of the off-road vehicles and withdrawn a threatening note left by the vandals on the windshield of one of the off-road vehicles.
