We express a positive opinion for the calendar that will regulate the levy for the upcoming 23/24 season, in particular because in the formulation, which follows the previous years, it is at least tested and protected from instrumental appeals and related guarantees on the certainty of the next season. At the same time, even the unitary proposals of the hunting world could still be introduced in the subsequent implementing acts that are still missing (pre-opening, February Derogation), in line with the line of progressive adaptation to the innovations, as for example already done for the reintroduced collection of Moriglione . We are referring to the possibility of sampling aimed at migratory activity in the October/November period only, reintroducing the 5 days a week and the non-exploitation of the possibilities offered with the PRIU which allows containment interventions on the wild boar, even in the form of hunted, even beyond the time frame maximum in which hunting is possible. Lost opportunities, without the Region adopting any of the supplementary proposals of the hunting world.
Precisely for this reason it is now absolutely important that the Region carefully evaluates the proposals regarding the wild boar hunting specification.
Here the question is to make realistic the objective that the Region itself sets (together with the Ministries of Agriculture and the Environment with the DL 13.6.23) of strong containment of the wild boar species in relation to the known criticalities and in particular to the ASF threat.
It has been demonstrated that hunting in the form of hunted is the one that produces the most important numbers. This withdrawal is possible because over 100 teams in the province organize themselves throughout the year, activate technical, economic and knowledge resources, which then lead to those results that really have an impact.
It is necessary to protect this resource. The Region has so far not appeared sensitive to the proposals elaborated by the Viterbo area, on the contrary. These are suggestions (dimensions of sub-zones, minimum number of jokes and team participants) made to avoid the risk in some situations of not being able to give continuity to the activities of the same teams. Not all of Lazio is homogeneous. It is therefore also wise to articulate the regulations, and therefore to collect the proposals that the ATCs of Viterbo, which see farmers, hunters, municipalities and environmentalists represented together, have agreed.
Again with regard to the problems of the wild boar we point out that there is no news of some purely bureaucratic measures which the Region has been requesting for months, such as for example the simplification of courses enabling selection.
Let's point out how, for example, the ATC Vt 1 has at the moment completely missed the objective of the scheduled levy on the wild boar species. In fact, only 10% was achieved (100 out of 959) Certainly more management limitations contributed to these more than disappointing numbers. But also the circumstance that potential selecontrollers are denied by the Region and by the ATC the achievement of the license and therefore to be able to participate in the operations, is at least contradictory.
To say that in the matter the tables and the approximate proclamations are of little use. Instead, listen to the experience of those who experience problems in the field and throughout the year, who know how it can be done and know how to do it. And don't make life complicated for him, above all.
