With a decree, the President of the Veneto regional council suspended with immediate effect the withdrawals in derogation for the current hunting season as the maximum quantities that can be withdrawn for the region's hunters have been reached, as provided for by art. 9 of the EEC Directive 409/79.
According to a press release from the Veneto Region based on the data from the fortnightly forms compiled by the hunters collected by the provincial administrations, it is considered appropriate to suspend the hunting in derogation in the Veneto, approved by the Veneto regional council twice. Berlato, moderately satisfied with what has been achieved in the current season, reassures that for the next hunting season the hunts in derogation will be able to return to be applied by law, as happened continuously from 2002 to 2008 ″.
