Wild boar hunting in the Ternese area: the Provincial Council has brought forward the opening of the wild boar hunt to 31 October 2010. The end of the boar hunting season has also been set for January 31, 2011.
The provincial council of Terni resolved this morning the anticipation of theopening of the boar hunt on October 31st. The choice allows the start of the season 24 hours earlier than expected (1 November) since, as the previously established date falls on Monday, the activity would not have been allowed for driven hunts.
That kind of wild boar hunting it is in fact allowed by the hunting calendar only on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The decision taken by the administration is instead aimed at allowing the hunters in single or collective form to be able to practice the activity in all its forms and, in compliance with the regulations in force, in every permitted area of the provincial territory.
"The decision - explains the provincial councilor for hunting policies Filippo Beco - was taken in close collaboration with the hunting associations and offers the possibility of hunting at the same time to all fans". The junta has also fixed the closing date of the boar hunt which will be the January 30 2011.
