Campania Region: In the Chamber the Amendment of the Law which provides for new and concrete positions of the ATCs in the field of hunting.
The new hunting law arrives in the Regional Council. The discussion of the law - which proposes the modification of the regulation for the management of territorial hunting areas - is scheduled for Thursday 13 January.
The provision, already assigned to the VIII permanent commission for examination on 10 December 2010, was the subject of various meetings held with representatives of hunters' associations.
Under the lens the most critical points, on the application level, of article 9 of the decree of the President of the Regional Council n.626 of 22 September 2003 concerning the procedures for admission to territorial hunting areas.
In particular, the associations have repeatedly denounced the criteria for the admission procedures that take place, with the current regulatory framework, based on the date and time of submission of the application.
Among the issues addressed by the new law are the difficulties of determining a univocal time reference for the thousands of requests transmitted to different offices (provinces or territorial areas) and through different means (via computer, by hand and postal address) and the lack of transparency of the rankings .
The new law, which was born as a resolution of the council, takes note of the De Lucia proposal and replaces the criterion of temporal priority with the criterion of the applicant's seniority, allows enrollment in hunting areas for the entire hunting season and not for individual hunting days and also inserts a further paragraph that gives an impulse to the economic activities induced by the hunting exercise without negatively affecting the faunal consistency.
