In the last hours the Lazio region officially approved the hunting calendar for the 2021-2022 season. The activity will start next September 19th and will end on January 31st 2022, with a further deadline of February 10th for wood pigeons and jays. Here are the various dates and huntable species:
Huntable species from 19 September 2021 to 30 September 2021:

turtle dove (Streptopelia turtur).
b) Huntable species from 19 September 2021 to 31 October 2021:
quail (Coturnix coturnix).
c) Huntable species from 19 September 2021 to 09 December 2021:
European hare (Lepus europaeus).
d) Huntable species from 19 September 2021 to 30 December 2021:
wild rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), pheasant (Phasianus colchicus), blackbird (Turdus
merula).
e) Huntable species from 19 September 2021 to 13 January 2022:
hooded crow (Corvus corone cornix), magpie (Pica pica).
f) Huntable species from 19 September 2021 to 31 January 2022:
teal (Anas crecca), snipe (Gallinago gallinago), gadwall (Anas strepera),
pintail (Anas acuta), wigeon (Anas penelope), coot (Fulica atra), whisk
(Lymnocryptes minimus), moorhen (Gallinula chloropus), mallard (Anas
platyrhynchos), garganey (Anas querquedula), shoveler (Anas clypeata), water rail
(Rallus aquaticus), fox (Vulpes vulpes).
g) Huntable species from 02 October 2021 to 30 December 2021:
lark (Alauda arvensis).
h) Species that can be hunted from 02 October 2021 to 20 January 2022:
woodcock (Scolopax rusticola).
i) Huntable species from 02 October 2021 to 31 January 2022:
cesena (Turdus pilaris), wood pigeon (Columba palumbus), jay (Garrulus
glandarius), song thrush (Turdus philomelos), redwing (Turdus iliacus).
j) Huntable species from 02 October 2021 to 29 November 2021:
gray partridge (Perdix perdix):
- in the areas where the Territorial Areas of Hunting (ATC) ascertain the occurrence
stabilization of reintroduced populations and, through constant monitoring,
demonstrate the sustainability of the hunting, which in any case must not exceed
15% of the estimated autumn consistency, also related to reproductive success
annual report of each population and the relative conservation plan;
- in the areas subject to active management interventions according to the forecasts of the plans
sampling proposed by the Territorial Areas of Hunting or by the Wildlife Companies
Hunting approved by the Decentralized Agriculture Areas of the Regional Directorate
Agriculture Promotion of the Food Industry and Culture, Hunting and Fishing, Forests,
conditioned by the existence and consistency, in each area or district, of density
in any case able to guarantee the sustainability of the withdrawal itself.
The ATCs propose, before the start of the hunting season, the opening areas of the
partridge hunting (Perdix perdix) specifying the methodology used for the
quantification of the population present, the rate of withdrawal established and the methods
identified for the verification of the achievement of said quota.
k) Huntable species from 01 November 2021 to 31 January 2022:

wild boar (Sus scrofa).
2. The actual use of hunting days for the wild boar species (Sus scrofa) is like this
modulated:
- In the designated areas assigned to authorized hunting teams for wild boar hunted and in turn it is allowed on the days:

- In hunted wild boar companies, hunting is allowed in
the same days indicated in the table above.
- In the "White Zones" (areas not assigned to authorized boar hunting teams),
in the period 01 November 2021 - 31 January 2022 for three days a week, which the hunter can choose between those of Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, wild boar hunting is allowed to hunters not enrolled in the authorized boar hunting teams in hunt and in turn.
The collection of the pheasant species (Phasianus colchicus) is allowed from 19 September 2021 to 31
January 2022:
- in hunting faunal farms, which report these species in the second faunistic address
the forecasts contained in the annual withdrawal plans approved by the decentralized areas

- in the areas subject to management interventions according to the forecasts of proposed withdrawal plans
by the ATCs and approved by the Decentralized Agriculture Areas of the Regional Directorate
Agriculture Promotion of the Food Industry and Culture, Hunting and Fishing, Forests
conditioned by the existence and consistency, in each area or district, of able populations
to guarantee the withdrawal itself.
5. The hunting of roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), red deer (Cervus elaphus),
fallow deer (Dama dama) and mouflon (Ovis musimon), as governed by the Resolution of 2 August
2018, n. 460, can only be carried out in the form of the selection hunt and it is allowed:
- in the hunting faunal farms that report these species in the faunistic address, according to
the species-specific calendars indicated by ISPRA within the limits set by the specific plan
approved by the Decentralized Agriculture Areas of the Regional Agriculture Directorate
Promotion of the Supply Chain and Culture of Food, Hunting and Fishing, Forests pursuant to
DGR n. 6091 of 29/12/1999 and of DGR 942 of 29/12/2017;
- in the territory of the ATC and in the Wildlife Hunting Companies that do not have such species in
wildlife address this activity can be authorized, pursuant to current legislation,
subject to the preparation by the ATCs and AFVs concerned, of adequate plans
selective killing weighted on the basis of specific censuses. Those plans must be
transmitted to the Decentralized Agriculture Area responsible for the area, which provides for a
first evaluation and if it deems the plan admissible, it acquires the binding opinion
of ISPRA, after completing the investigation, forward the proposal for approval of the
same plan to the Regional Direction for Agriculture Promotion of the Supply Chain and Culture
of Food, Hunting and Fishing, Forests which adopts the authorization provision.
