Mr Maria Cristina Caretta, number one of CONFAVI and just elected in the ranks of Brothers of Italy, announced the presentation to the House of Representatives of a bill to change the National Hunting Law (number 157 of 1992), that is to say the rules for the protection of homeothermic wildlife and for hunting. As Caretta herself explained, the legal text has been in existence for 26 years now and the economic and environmental context of its introduction, in the early XNUMXs, was completely different from the current one.
The project also highlights how throughout the rest of the European continent there is no state law on wildlife management that has remained unchanged for such a long time. In particular, updates and adjustments to the changing needs of the faunal heritage and natural habitats.
Caretta's request, therefore, is to update and correct the National Hunting Law, taking a cue from these twenty-six years of application on the Italian territory. The management methods from which to take an example are those of other countries of the European Union, always in compliance with EU directives and with national and local customs and traditions.
Excellent Carretta also take inspiration from serious Italian hunters who observe hunting also to protect it.
