Another innovation concerns the sector of hunting dogphilia, where the training and training times of the dogs have been brought forward. This initiative, managed by the Central Office, represents a significant step forward for the hunting dog industry in Campania.
The wild boar, particularly present in the region, will be hunted for three months a year starting from 15 October. This modification takes into account the climate change in progress and the preventive and containment activities of the African swine fever (ASF), present in 17 municipalities in Campania. For hunters residing in these areas, the participatory contribution to the ATC has been suspended to preserve the environment and the health of the species present.
Councilor Caputo underlined the collaboration with President Vincenzo De Luca in the search for participatory solutions, recognizing the importance of the hunting sector for the environment and the heritage of the Campania region. The new hunting calendar promotes sustainable management of wildlife resources, respecting the technical and scientific indications to ensure a balance between human activities and the conservation of local fauna.
