Hearing at the House of Representatives on the law proposal of the Hon. Filippo Gallinella and others to remedy the serious problem that arose as a result of some rulings of the Constitutional Court. The National President ofARCI Hunting Dr. Sergio Sorrentino after the hearing declared: "An important step forward by the Parliament to solve the" problem "deriving from some sentences of the Constitutional Court which considered the participation of authorized hunters in the plans for the slaughter and control of wildlife is illegitimate provided for in the legislation of the Regions.
The bill, which sees the transversal commitment of all parliamentary groups, we hope will have a fast process to put the Regions in operational conditions as soon as possible and safety licensed hunters who participate in control plans and who perform a service of maximum utility to Agriculture and the Country. The limit of authorizing only the police officers to carry out the checks, inherent in the 157/92, born in a context of different consistency of the fauna population, must be overcome after the judgments of the Court. Other updates to 157/92 can also be produced to improve the wildlife governance potential that is in our law that is a point of reference for wildlife management even though on too many occasions boycotted by those who live in the illusion of management, as in a time that goodbye no longer exists, delegated "to one" with attached exclusive powers of compulsory membership and denial of the freedom of associative choice.
The hunting associations united in "Control Room" almost unequivocally they presented themselves with a renewed united spirit to re-propose to the Commission the value and importance of hunting from the “Alps to Sicily”. ARCI Caccia will re-propose the theme of the greater power of the Regions in a unitary-national framework, for the management and control of species, when in excess, and which cause damage to the agricultural economy, animal husbandry, rural landscape, wealth of biodiversity resources of the beautiful country. The role of science and gods is indispensable wildlife technicians. To this end "at no cost" ISPRA hopes to produce a specification as soon as possible that will allow many wildlife technicians, university professors, researchers at the service of wildlife conservation policies, common good of Italians and International community.
The research work, of census surveys, whoever carries it out must be carried out to be recognized exclusively on the basis of the guidelines issued by ISPRA. For better and rigorous hunting calendars, for samplings, there is a need for a greater presence of women and men on the "field" and not to resort to "photocopy opinions". Europe has underestimated the peculiarities, the potentials and the positive experiences, albeit with some limits to overcome produced by many Italian regions, from the Alps to Sicily. Little recognized is the quality and preparation of the hunters who ARCI Caccia is proud to have represented in its first 50 years of life, and proudly undertakes to protect regardless of the forms of hunting practiced by joining its voice to that of the associations that want to fight for these purposes without retro-thoughts or power interests.
