In the institutional table promoted by President of the Regional Council Enrico Rossi, the memorandum of understanding was signed yesterday between the Tuscany Region and the Hunting and Agricultural Associations and the Territorial Hunting Areas. As announced by the CCT, after months of comparison, the work promoted by President Rossi is producing the first important results to face and solve the problems afflicting the hunting activity and to set the future strategic choices that the Region will have to make. For those who, like us, have claimed in unsuspecting times, the need to re-establish a ground for serious discussion and consultation and advanced between stakeholders and the Region, yesterday is characterized as a decisive step for the opening of a new phase that must be accompanied by the ability of all to present proposals and objectives shared as much as possible.
The priorities and challenges to be faced are many and the work to be done must be developed with competence and punctuality by all the signatories of the protocol:
- the new Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan, the ATC Government, the discussion and review of the Objective Law for ungulates and the necessary changes to be introduced, the new Hunting Calendar, are just some of the main topics on the table.
Themes, these and others, which will characterize the main axes of the next Regional Conference on Hunting; a high profile appointment planned as announced at the table, for next June.
The signature of the protocol signed yesterday by secretary of the CCT, specifically delegated by the Confederate Associations, therefore sees us engaged with seriousness and a sense of responsibility in this decisive path. The listening and confrontation work that we are carrying out in the area, among hunters and beyond, will allow for support the proposals that will be presented at the table and in concert with the subjects represented. A way of working and thinking that focuses on the comparison and respect of all interlocutors in the field.
According to the association, we had to witness with sadness and amazement an improvised scene by a well-known exponent of Libera Caccia, who did not sign the protocol for the presence of the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters. Being afraid of those who bring a unitary project for the hunting world as a dowry and fear the democratic confrontation developed on the strength of the arguments and concrete proposals, does not represent a good sign for those who really care about the interests and the future of our passion. The desire to break up on the part of the unsuccessful subscribers, however left alone by other travel "companions", represents once again the narrow and corporate face of hunting associations which only produce divisions among the hunters. An episode yesterday, which can only be explained by the fact that for someone the electoral campaign has begun and that the institutional offices are being used, to generate confusion and propaganda in view of the next European and Regional elections, creating enemies and tensions within the hunting world.
