CAPETAV 2011 PRESENTATION PRESS CONFERENCE: Palazzo Donini - Headquarters of the Regional Council - Umbria Region - Perugia - Sala Fiume, 11,30 am.
Capetav: Umbria, land of passions and traditions, with this slogan a little over a year ago the organization of an event that was missing in the regional fair scene was set in motion.
In fact, in terms of passion for hunting, Umbria is perhaps surpassed by Tuscany alone and the press is a reliable witness to how carefully the events that pass through it are followed starting from the hunting calendars that follow one another every year. On this passion that has been transmitted from generation to generation, albeit with less intensity than in the past, a tradition has been grafted that fully reflects the warmth of our land starting from hunts such as that of the deep-sea fish which has ancient origins, to finish to the more recent ones such as wild boar hunting and ungulate selection which has opened new horizons to Umbrian hunters.
We were convinced, as we still are, that with this cultural background, an event like CAPETAV had solid legs to start an important path.
At the 2010 edition, which with its 16.000 visitors nevertheless represented a success, it was necessary to add quality to the purely mercantile aspects to involve not only hunters, fishermen, shooters, but also families and many leisure time lovers. At the same time it was important to give an image of Umbria that would become the identifying quality mark of this kind of events that found continuity especially in northern Italy with the EXA of Brescia and the HUNTING of Vicenza and in Tarquinia with the Game Fair.
Let's start with the news: from the organizational point of view, no “Conferences” reserved for professionals outside the fair's containers, but a series of meetings in the heart of the fair itself. In fact, a meeting point will be set up at the Stand of the Umbria Region, where speakers will take turns who will be able to be interviewed in turn by interested visitors on a whole series of issues concerning hunting, sport fishing, skeet shooting and surroundings. Lecturers of the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Perugia, ballistics experts, cooking experts, technicians from the Zooprophylactic Institute of Umbria and Marche, institutional subjects, dog experts will take turns to illustrate the various topics covered by their interventions.
Among the scheduled appointments, the first National Meeting of women hunters and Zefiro Rosa stand out, the presence of women in the world of hunting and shooting if it is not significant numerically it is qualitatively. This is confirmed by the adhesions that give a cross-section of the other half of the sky that is decidedly different from the stereotypical models that we are used to knowing.
Businesswomen, sporty women, busy women, in short, smart women who we liked to bring together at CAPETAV and who will undoubtedly represent an added value for the event.
The day of Saturday 21 will be characterized by a highly anticipated event, the rebirth of falconry in Italy will be celebrated in the square in front of the pavilions of Umbria Fiere. An ancient art, almost forgotten, which thanks to characters like Gianluca Barone, leader of the Falconers of Italy, has found new life and new enthusiasts, a show not to be missed.
Another essential appointment is the National Gathering of the Romagna lagotto, which will take place on Sunday 22 in the middle of the Regional Dog Show open to all breeds. The lagotto romagnolo, as truffle lovers well know, represents the hunting dog par excellence of the precious tuber.
In support of the Gathering, practical research tests will be organized in the North space outside the pavilions, which we are sure will attract the attention of visitors. A brief meeting with the experts both canine and truffle lovers will complete this important "dedicated" of the fair. To stay on the gastronomic theme, the hunters of the Club del Colombaccio di Amelia will offer a classic dish such as palombe alla leccarda, which will marry with Sagrantino di Montefalco, a certainly happy marriage.
To switch to fishing, the professional fishermen of Trasimeno will be present who will offer a series of tastings of lake specialties, making known the promotional activities of our lake ranging from fishing tourism, to fishing trips for families, to fishermen for a day, up to opportunity to learn how to cook under the guidance of local women.
The Fishing World Championships will be presented, organized by Fipsas right in Umbria, there will be swimming pools for launch tests and games for the little ones as well as all the best equipment manufacturers. Another event to which we hope to give continuity is the first national gathering of hunting collecting organized by the Italian Cultural Association for the protection of hunting traditions and collecting.
The numbers are tempting:
-about 200 national and international exhibiting companies for an induced of over 600 people involved in the expo who will stay in the Umbrian territory for a long weekend;
