The resolution of Provincial Council of Sondrio has formalized and authorized the plan that regulates the hunting of the deer in the top of the Colmen to Dazio. The document was drawn up last September 27 and since yesterday, Thursday October 13 2016, it is possible to carry out hunting sampling. Furthermore, hunting is authorized until next December 1st and always on Thursdays. The decision is motivated by theuncontrolled increase of ungulates in this area of Lombardy.
Going into more detail of the plan, you are talking about 50 deer, ie 20 adult females, 14 pups, 9 young females and 7 young males. The sector will be number 3 "Valmasino" of Morbegno Alpine District and adult male deer cannot be killed. In case of presence of a female with the young, it will be necessary to kill the young and then the female.
Furthermore, the Province of Sondrio has ordered that access to the area be granted to a maximum number of 20 hunters for each single hunting day. The shooting distance, then, must not exceed 250 meters, without forgetting that there is a ban on the use and possession of lead bullets. Once the specimen has been killed, i viscera they will have to be buried or at least covered with leaves when they cannot be disposed of in another place.
