There is an important news regarding the wildlife plan of the Province of Sondrio. The deer featured on the Colmen of Dazio (name by which the Culmine is best known) are in fact too many and it was decided to open the hunting activity monitored. As explained by the portal Laprovinciadisondrio.it, it is the Lombard province itself that pushes for hunting, given that the concentration of ungulates in such a small area it is excessive.
This is why a solution must be found at all costs and quickly, by modifying the plan. According to vice president Christian Borromini, we cannot wait any longer and risks related to safety and health they should not be underestimated. The deer are invading the streets of the area and causing considerable damage to agricultural crops, so the concern has grown out of all proportion.
Colmen, a typical area of repopulation and capture where hunting is prohibited, will become an area where only deer hunting is allowed, with very strict rules and monitoring. It is necessary to define the precise days, the times and the number of hunters who will be called to intervene: the area has an overall size of 500 hectares and the Provincial Police will never fail.
