Federcaccia: the international exhibition of Falconry was recently held in Brussels at the headquarters of the European Parliament, an event that involved falconers and hunters from 19 countries, on display for 4000 years of hunting art.
Organized by the Sustainable Hunting Intergroup of the European Parliament together with the IAF - International Falconry Association and FACE, the event brought together expert falconers on a unique occasion to present images, history, culture, tradition and evolution of this art of ancient origins, considered a UNESCO cultural heritage of humanity.
Also present were Andrea Brusa, President of the UNCF - National Union of falconry hunters, sectoral of the FIdC and Gianluca Barone, UNCF Lazio vice president, to represent the Italian falconry and contribute to witnessing the values and benefits that falconry entails.
In fact, the meeting represented an opportunity to remember how in addition to the precious capital constituted by the skills and abilities that characterize it for the accurate knowledge of nature and the sharing of universal principles, falconry is considered a sustainable activity that can be used in conservation projects, for example as a tool for the recovery of the peregrine falcon, or for safety, see the use of hawks in airports to prevent dangerous collisions with other birds that can affect the landing and take-off phases of aircraft.
