HUNT: VIOLIN, NEW PERIMETRATION OF PROTECTED AREAS
Trieste, 8 July - There are five hunting districts in Friuli Venezia Giulia that have adapted their respective huntable area to the new parameters in the relationship between the protected agrosilvopastoral territory and the one that can be used for hunting.
The regional council, on the proposal of the regional councilor for agricultural, natural and forestry resources Claudio Violino, has in fact preliminarily approved the new perimeter of the protected areas in the districts not included in the faunal area of the Alps.
Which are 8 High Udinese Plain, 5 Morainic Hills, 9 High Pordenone Plain, 11 Low Pordenone Plain, 10 Low Udinese Plain.
The Administration, after having defined the area that includes the Alpine hunting area, and the Plain area, following the indications of the EU regulations, has redesigned the new areas in which it will no longer be possible to practice hunting.
With specific measures, the Executive has in fact taken steps to define the mapping of the wildlife oases, of the refugee areas and of the restocking areas, in which hunting is always forbidden.
The Region, as Violino recalled on recent occasions in which he met with the hunters, had to adapt its regulations to the directives of the EU, taking into account the effects of a ruling on the matter by the Constitutional Court, reaffirmed by a further pronouncement of the Court.
On the basis of the regulations in force, the surface of the areas forbidden to hunting cannot be less than 10 per cent of the agrosilvopastoral territory in the Alps area, and 20 per cent in the Plains area.
The changes to the huntable territory will now reflect on the maximum number of hunters for each reserve, which will have to be re-determined by the Region based on the new mapping.
The deliberations of the regional council relating to changes to the hunting area will be published in the Official Bulletin of the Region, as well as displayed in the praetors of the municipalities concerned.
