Shotguns: The Italian company “Armi Art” produces handcrafted hunting and sporting shotguns, entirely customized. Here we are truly in the presence of Made in Italy.
Armi Art is a company operating in Gardone Val Trompia, in the province of Brescia. Talking about realities such as the Art weapons means truly entering the tradition of Made in Italy. Models of boxlock and sidelock side-by-side shotguns, both in 12 gauge and in lower gauges, are the products offered by Armi Art.
The weapons manage to combine elegance with manageability, through which the manufacturing tradition is able to express itself to the fullest.
Any lover of handcrafted weapons has the opportunity to request special options such as removable batteries, self-opening, weights and "ad hoc" measures.
All the work necessary to make a gun is done by hand, like the barrels exclusively demibloc and assembly in white, with beautiful manual finishes both in the internal and external details, the heat treatments, the bluing of the barrels, the polishing of the stocks and the subsequent assembly of the parts. This is the way of working of Armi Art, in order to preserve the tradition.
Some components are made in collaboration with other companies, when it is necessary, for example, to make use of a modern mechanical technology suitable for the creation of action frames and other fundamental components of the weapon. From this collaboration it is possible to combine handcrafted production with high technology and mechanics.
What we are going to talk about today is the “Boss” Desire Over & Under. The choice of this name derives from the feeling you get to take up this weapon.
Specifically, it is a “Boss” type over-and-under for which specific requests can be made by the customer, in order to make it unique and fully customized.
The Desiderio over-under is available in gauges ranging from 12 to 36. The search for proportionality is inherent in every action and parts of the shotgun. The fact that the locks are without through pins, offer the engraver the possibility of creating very complex hunting scenes, to meet the needs of the customer, who can propose what to draw and engrave.
The crampon with real compass turns and the “Boss” type closure complete the standard equipment of the Desiderio over-and-under.
Before moving on to the technical data sheet, we conclude the article by stating that in this shotgun produced by Armi Art you can find elegance, refinement in the lines and very high reliability.
