Incident of hunting. He suffered a fractured elbow from a stroke rifle exploded by mistake during a hunting trip in the Budoni countryside. GP, seventy years old, a native of Posada, but residing in the hamlet of Solità in Budoni, was transported from 118 to the hospital in Olbia where the doctors treated him and declared him out of danger.

The mishap happened late yesterday morning a short distance from the small hill town which is located west of the state road 131 dcn, in the countryside between this center and the nearby hamlet of San Lorenzo.

During a joke of wild boar huntingGiovanni Piras, a 70-year-old retiree, was wounded in the right elbow by the bullet fired from the rifle of one of his fellow countrymen and batting mate due to causes that are being ascertained by the carabinieri of the Siniscola company. The man's screams immediately attracted the attention of the other hunters, the joke was suspended and help was immediately taken.

The pensioner was immediately accompanied to the emergency room in Olbia by a 118 medical ambulance, while the carabinieri of the Siniscola company intervened on the spot. The investigations to establish the dynamics of the accident went on throughout the afternoon, the batting mates were heard and confirmed the accidental dynamics of the event.

The Carabinieri also ascertained that all the hunters present at the time of the accident were wearing high-visibility jackets and were in compliance with both the hunting documentation and the ammunition used for boar hunting.

It seems that Giovanni Piras was hit in the arm by a ball that was exploded by mistake by his fellow countryman who, immediately realizing what had happened, was among the first to help the man. The ball hit the pensioner in the arm which was pierced from side to side without luckily reporting damage to the artery. The wound was immediately plugged in and the 118 ambulance took only a few minutes to get to Solità. The doctors gave the man the first treatment before taking him for an X-ray to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a fractured arm.
