Hunting and Fauna: Cinque Terre Park, selective killing of wild boars carried out.
The Cinque Terre National Park announces that yesterday, Wednesday 26 February and today 27 February 2014, two teams of assistants to control the wild boar, carried out the selective culling intervention within the Protected Area. The operations were conducted and supervised by the wildlife section of the Provincial Police and the State Forestry Corps. In addition to the actions for the protection of the terraced strips and vineyards, the Provincial Police took care, on the same days, of the cleaning and removal of the materials deposited on the electric shepherd positioned along the Via dei Santuari. The interventions began at 7.30, for yesterday, Wednesday 26 February, in particular in the area of the Municipality of Monterosso al Mare loc. Soviore / Acqua Pendente and in Colle di Gritta; today, however, the interventions took place in the park area of the Municipality of La Spezia in Fossola and Monesteroli.
