Hunting and Fauna: in Abbadia San Salvatore (SI), a large wild boar has invaded and occupied the youth center.
Perhaps tired of sleeping under the stars, a boar of enormous proportions has invaded and literally occupied the premises of the youth center. The incident happened on the night of May 28 last, in Abbadia San Salvatore. Shortly after three in the morning some young people walking along via Mentana noticed the big animal in the square in front of the old middle school which, in part, is now used as a youth center. After having thrown a garbage can on the ground to eat something, he went in, thanks to the fact that the entrance door of the premises had not been closed properly, inside the center. The beauty is that the boar has closed, and he has closed it really well, the door. The boys called the carabinieri who intervened on the spot. But, as mentioned, the access door to the center was strictly closed.
Therefore, the municipal guardians, the traffic police and the hunting guards were called to start the difficult operation of "eviction" of the wild boar. An intervention made difficult given that the "invader" was pretty big, over a quintal in weight. Big but not aggressive, obviously if left alone! So how do you get it out? Some of the men who attended went to the rooms above the youth center and from there they started making loud noises. Gradually the ungulate entered the exit door. And here there was a real curtain that, given the time (shortly after four o'clock yesterday morning), few were able to see. In fact, a sort of small procession has formed. The beast, in search of food, took Viale Roma followed by the large body of guard who tried to push him towards the area where the woods are.
Arriving in front of the monument, the wild boar turned right taking first via Galliano, then via Adua, where, in the end, he found the wood where he entered and where he hopes (but with little conviction) that it will remain there. For days, in fact, the same ungulate had been seen in the square of the Cervi brothers, along the streets of the town. A phenomenon, that of similar incursions, which is repeated with increasing frequency also due to the fact that this year no killing was carried out.
Wild boars near the civilian houses, in the gardens, but, until now, no one had entered the four walls, closing themselves behind the front door. The youth center, where the wild boar defecated in abundance, was obviously disinfested. Not only for the excrement but also for possible ticks or other animals that such a beast may have on him.
