Friuli lowland hunters will be able to practice hunting with rifles loaded with three cartridges instead of two.
With an amendment voted by a majority by the regional council, lowland hunters in Friuli Venezia Giulia will be able to go hunting with smooth-bore rifles loaded with three cartridges as in other Italian regions.
The Regional Councilor, Mara Piccin, announcing a new positive turning point for hunting in the region states, "Reasonably, already in September, the hunters members in the Friuli Venezia Giulia lowland reserves will be able to practice hunting using the rifle with bore barrel. smooth up to three strokes ”, unlike the two allowed up to now.
Piccini explained, “We have presented an amendment, voted by the majority, which completes an article of the maintenance law of 2010, thus putting an end to a case of inequity for our hunters”.
The limit of two shots for semi-automatic shotguns with smooth bore was provided for by the Regional Law n.6 / 2008 for which the whole agro-forestry-pastoral territory of the region was considered included in the faunal area of the Alps; the same law was then modified following an evaluation by the Constitutional Court with the exclusion of the plain territory from the faunal area of the Alps. Nonetheless, the lowland hunting reserves kept the limit of the two cartridges even though they did not enjoy the protection of the Alps area.
Concluding said Piccin, “Our amendment passed in committee, awaits only the white smoke of the classroom. Net of the unexpected, trusting that the community law will be discussed by the summer, the next hunting season will open in the sign of the three hits on the plains ".
