Hunting: Reggio Calabria, satisfaction of the vice president of the provincial council Saletta for the relaunch of hunting activities and the protection of fauna.
The vice-president of the provincial council of Reggio Calabria, Giuseppe Saletta, expresses his satisfaction with the repopulation activities of Hares and Pheasants in the territory of the province which marks an effective relaunch of the hunting activity. Saletta stated, “I want to thank the President Giuseppe Raffa for an intervention that has not been carried out for some time and which is part of that virtuous path aimed at relaunching hunting activities and the protection of fauna at the same time. Restocking of hares and pheasants, carried out with the indispensable help of the Provincial Police masterfully led by Commander Crupi, has rekindled the enthusiasm not only of hunters but also of nature lovers who, on several occasions, had noted the need for this activity ".
Continuing Saletta explained, “The Councilor for the branch Gaetano Rao and the Director of the Sector dott. Luigi Rubino, to whom my applause goes, have prepared a programmatic plan that has meritoriously involved the world of associations, identifying suitable habitats throughout the provincial territory to guarantee the proliferation of fauna. Alongside concrete actions such as those implemented in recent months, the hope is that a full rationalization of the provincial hunting system will be achieved, even thinking about the establishment of a new Territorial Hunting Area ”.
Vice-president Saletta added, “This would be in line with the natural vocation of our territory to divide itself into the area of the capital, the Tyrrhenian area and the Ionian area. An intervention in this sense would be even more useful to promote and organize the reconnaissance activities of the environmental resources and the faunal consistency of the territory, to guarantee forms of collaboration of the hunters for the achievement of the programmed purposes and to involve both the "followers of Diana", as well as the environmental associations in a series of shared paths, all aimed at promoting and safeguarding our natural resources. May this be the occasion - concluded Saletta - so that all the social actors involved find cohesion and unity, with the conscious proximity of the provincial body ”.
