“Hunting Show and Fishing Show 2014” officially opened this morning, the International Exhibition of Hunting, Fishing, Nature and Sport Shooting, but also of Soft Air, Dog and Outdoor in general; the event aims to surpass the 29 thousand visitors registered in the last edition. Hunting Show 2014 will end on Monday 10 February with the intention of confirming the positive trend of the last editions which has seen a constant increase in exhibitors and visitors.
Present for Hunting Show 2014 at the Vicenza Fair, 305 brands among the leading manufacturers of weapons, ammunition and optics as well as a rich showcase of products from the accessories and hunting items, from clothing to footwear, from accessories to safety to articles for dogs and decoy birds, from hunting tourism to sector publishing.
In the same context there is Pescare Show, the exhibition dedicated to the world of traditional fishing, fly fishing and spinning in fresh water and in the sea, a must for fans of the sector; Pescare Show can also count on the presence of the major specialized brands and on a vast exhibition of equipment and items for sport fishing. New this year in the context of fishing Show is the first edition of Boating Show, the new show dedicated to fishing and pleasure boating. Fishing associations and schools will be involved in launching demonstrations in large 15m casting pools for both spinning and fly fishing. For the youngest fishermen, the best Italian builders will organize demonstrations and courses in the construction of fly lures. Hunting Show is also falconry, among the “guests” of the passing editions of the fair also a golden eagle.
Obviously, the event aroused protests from animal welfare associations whose affiliates, coming from all over Northern Italy, demonstrated outside the Vicenza Fair against the pro-hunting event. The group of animal rights protesters was gathered by the police in a space, located about a hundred meters from the main entrance, in order to avoid any gestures of intolerance. However, there were no moments of tension except for some exchange of offenses and insults at a distance with some visitors to the fair.
