It was the mayor of Carrara, Angelo Zubbani, who opened, together with the Authorities, the second edition of Mondo Caccia, the exhibition of modern and sustainable hunting that takes place in Carrara Fiere until Sunday 4.500 June with ninety exhibitors on 2.000 square meters, to which about XNUMX square meters are added dedicated to exhibitions and events with the most up-to-date offer for an army of enthusiasts who boast a real record of practitioners in Tuscany.
Accompanied by Giorgio Bianchini and Paris Mazzanti, president and director of Carrara Fiere, together with Domenico Ceccotti, provincial councilor, the mayor made a long visit to the show where there is a complete proposal that ranges from weapons to ammunition, from clothing to safety , from accessories to outdoor activities to shooting tools.
The group of authorities also lingered for a long time in the areas where exhibitions curated by the Apennine Hunters Union were set up and had the opportunity to test weapons in spaces that reproduce polygons using sophisticated software and laser pointing systems.
"I admired a complete review with prestigious brands - said the mayor meeting the press at the end of the long visit - but also many proposals that bring out a culture and a specific attention to nature and traditions, placing Carrara Fiere at the center of the attention of a large public ".
The president of Carrara Fiere was also satisfied, underlining "the completeness of the exhibition proposal and the number of exhibitors who responded positively to the choice of proposing the event in a period that facilitates the participation of hunters and hunting associations".
Mondo Caccia, in fact, in addition to welcoming many disciplines in the spaces set up, offers a modern and updated vision of hunting as a sporting practice and expression of a culture based on direct relationship with nature in all its expressions, enhancing a strong culture rooted in the territories.
Numerous events are scheduled over the three days of the fair. Particularly full of events (all hosted in the conference room of the Services center with entrance from via Maestri del Marmo) on Saturday 9 June.
It starts at 10 with a “Report on the selection hunt in the Province of Massa-Carrara” organized by URCA which will have Paolo Bongi as speaker; a conference will follow on the “importance and technical-practical aspects of the use of the track dog” which will have as speakers Serena Donnini - Judge ENCI and Agostino Fani Secretary of the Caronte ANRUF association.
At 15,30 pm the volume Conoscere il Segugio Maremmano, A new breed for tomorrow's hunting will be presented. Lina Finocchiaro of the magazine Cinghiali e Cani and the author Sergio Leopardi who will show some splendid specimens of this fascinating breed will speak. The presentation of a prestigious publication “For stages, bells and forests” will follow at 16.30 pm with the participation of the author Remigio Venturini.
