On the occasion of the 2019 edition ofIWA Outdoor Classics of Nuremberg which ends today Leica presented a new series of interesting riflescopes. It is about Leica Fortis 6i, with the first two models shown in Germany. We are talking about the 1-6x24i and 2-12x50i models. The creation took place thanks to the precious collaboration of some hunters, in order to satisfy even the most demanding hunting requests. The main features are those of sturdiness and attractive design, without forgetting the world records conquered for some time by optical performance.
In this case the series has an essential and elegant design at the same time, plus an affordable price. No detail has been given up and the most varied hunting conditions do not “scare” these scopes. Fortis 6i adopts the celebrated Leica click mechanics in 60HRC steel and the well-known reticle anchoring system that guarantee the infallibility of clicks and the tightness of the shot pattern even after thousands of shots with the heaviest calibers.
The exit pupil is wider than the 50% compared to the best that the competition can offer, so as to guarantee an enviable field of view to the hunter on the beat. L'twilight efficacy, then, it is nothing short of enviable. The new series will be available from the end of March 2019 at authorized Leica Sport Optics resellers. The prices to the public are 1725 € for Leica Fortis 6 1-6x24i e 2285 € for Leica Fortis 6 2-12x 50i with BDC ballistic turret.
