UNARM (Unione degli Armigeri Italiani APS, formerly the Directive Committee 477), in its activities to contrast the new European regulations that introduce the ban on the use of lead-containing ammunition, is carrying out an investigation to more accurately determine the impact of the new restrictions on Italian sports sector, which could be upset if not annihilated both due to the closure of numerous facilities and the inevitable and dizzying increase in costs for users caused by multiple factors. Some optional information requested may require consultation of the registers: however, we recommend dedicating a minimum of time for their compilation as they are very useful for investigating the impact of regulations on the practice of sporting activities with weapons.
The data collected with this survey are aimed at assessing the impact of the European regulations under discussion (and those already recently approved) on sports with firearms practiced in shooting ranges and private shooting ranges, deepening the aspects relating to the current management of lead and forecasting the consequences of the regulations (also from an economic and employment point of view) based on the environmental location of the shooting ranges and the activities carried out within them. In fact, it is evident that this type of assessment has never been carried out either in the European or national contexts by any of the authorities that promoted or supported the limitations under discussion, which are exclusively ideological in nature.
The results of this survey will be communicated to the national and European authorities so that they cannot be unaware of very serious damage they are about to cause. The publication will take place exclusively in aggregate form and no specific data given to the Association through this survey will be disclosed or communicated to third parties.
