With the new ones Leica Rangemaster CRF 2800.COM and CRF 3500.COM, Leica Sport Optics (Wetzlar, Germany) features rangefinders with unrivaled performance up to 2.500 (2800.com, 2800 yards) and 3.200 meters (3500.com, 3500 yards). The Rangemaster CRF 3500.COM is also the first model to employ a class 3R laser, more powerful than class 1 hunting rangefinders on the market. In combination with the specially designed Leica Hunting App and integrated Bluetooth connection, the new Leica Rangemasters offer greater range and accuracy in measurement, as well as intuitive operation.
Long range shooters can connect the Leica Rangemaster CRF.COM to the “Kestrel Elite” weather meter via Bluetooth to take wind direction and speed into account when calculating ballistic data. The correction values calculated by the “Kestrel Elite” are sent directly to the Rangemaster. Output values are accurately calculated using Kestrel's integrated “Applied Ballistics” software. In addition, the information can be transferred to the Apple Watch.
With the Leica Hunting App, specially developed by Leica for the latest generation of rangefinders, the individual ballistic settings can be conveniently configured on the smartphone. The app, available free for iOS and Android, allows users to select the appropriate calibration for their rifle. Leica's unique ABC ballistics program calculates individual ballistic output values based on caliber, ball type, trajectory and weight.
This data is transmitted via Bluetooth to CRF.COM, which calculates the exact ballistic distance and correction for the point of impact. Linear distance or equivalent horizontal distance (EHR), elevation or number of clicks are calculated and displayed on the rangefinder display in a fraction of a second.
Users can create individual ballistic profiles quickly and conveniently via the Leica Hunting App and access their personal settings at any time. Since all ballistic profiles are stored securely and directly in the app, no internet connection is required for transmission. This guarantees use even in areas with no network coverage.
The new Leica Rangemaster CRF.COM offer a wide field of view which allows target detection particularly quickly at great distances. The unique Leica optics ensures a brilliant, clear and highly detailed image, even at dusk.
The high quality LED display features automatic brightness control and adapts to the environment without interfering with the target. The ultrafast scan mode detects the situation every 0,3 seconds and displays decimal values up to a distance of 180 meters (200 yards) - for an accurate and safe shot at any distance.
The advantages at a glance:
- 3R laser technology (for CRF 3500.COM only) for reliable, high power performance up to 3.200m (3.500 yards)
- 7 × 24 high definition optics for highly detailed observations
- Exceptional ease of use, thanks to the Leica Hunting App
- Import of ballistic data directly from the app
- Connects to Kestrel Elite and Apple Watch
- Waterproof, rugged and compact design
The Leica Rangemaster CRF 3500.COM will be available from January 2020 in Leica Stores and specialty stores for € 1.220,00, the CRF 2800.COM for € 765 (recommended retail price).
